OKTOBERFEST
The EMO Hannover show overlaps with
Oktoberfest in Munich, which runs between
September 20th and October 5th, 2025. Munich
is just a short 4-hour train ride from Hanover.
Oktoberfest dates back to 1810 and has become
one of the world’s most famous festivals. It is a

celebration of Bavarian culture, food, music, and
arguably the fi nest beer in the world.
The event is family-friendly and includes many
amusement rides, from carousels to roller
coasters. There are also child-themed attrac-
tions, such as pony rides and funhouses.

Just one hour away from Hanover

is the German city of Braunschweig.
Founded in the 9th century, it is one
of Germany’s oldest cities and is
steeped in rich history. One of the
most popular attractions is Schloss
Dankwarderode, an impressive
12th-century castle built by Henry
the Lion, Duke of Saxony.
Visiting Old Town Braunschweig will
take you back in time to the medieval
Gothic period. While some historic
