This third generation, version C equipment, addresses all of the challenges faced by manufacturers today.
At a baseline, the version C machines are faster. All of the new features combine to improve cutting speeds,
while at the same time adding improvements in many different areas.

It has long been known that the quality of fl ush is incredibly
important in EDM, especially when fi ne fi nishes are required.
Makino EDM has made improvements in the circulation fl ow
pattern in the work tank to more effi ciently prevent debris from
reentering the machining area. This is achieved by using a
directional fl ow pattern from the back of the work tank to the
front. Figure 1 shows a simple illustration of the enhanced
fl ush circulation pattern.
Makino testing of this new circulation system has proven to
improve fi nishing. By keeping the workpiece cavity cleaner, it
also contributes to the increase in cutting speed.
