many options for fi ltration levels, down as low as
0.5µm. The Evomatic is available in several different
models, supporting small to large groups of grinding
machines. The largest system provides 80 GPM of
clean delivery.
When asked what she would like EDM Today
subscribers to know about Ebbco, Dyana stated,

“We are much more than just a fi ltration company.
We have a large offering of consumables as well.
We also support many more metalworking machines
than just EDM. If you need fi ltration, Ebbco likely has

EDM Network had two booth locations for IMTS 2024. Booth
433230 was located in the West building and was part of the
Additive Manufacturing area.
EDM Network Founder and President Ron Vogel stated, “It
was a really busy show – the best in many years.” Based on
the traffi c in the booth whenever I walked by, I would almost
say it was an understatement. Clearly, additive manufactur-
ing is experiencing a tremendous period of growth. I was
fortunate to spend some time with Larry McNamee, EDM
Network’s Technical Manager. Larry is an industry veteran
and one of the most experienced and talented people I know

when it comes to EDM.
Larry explained that the EDM Network booth in the additive
area is there primarily to explain Fast Wire technology for
the removal of additive parts from the build plate. Many
people fi nd traditional Wire EDM and brass wire technology
to be very problematic when trying to remove parts. Larry
explained that EDM Network’s Fast Wire machine uses
Molybdenum (Moly) wire at just 0.007” diameter. Because it
works differently than Wire EDM, there is no DI resin bottle,
no chiller, and a simple one-pump system. It does not use a
high-pressure fl ush as a Wire EDM does. Instead, the Moly

wire moves back and forth so quickly that it literally pulls in
the fl ush. Larry explained another difference between Fast
Wire and Wire EDM is that the Moly wire is reused over and
over. Users will see the most signifi cant difference with in-
terrupted cuts. On traditional Wire EDM, interrupted cuts are
diffi cult and often end up with wire breakage. But the Moly
machine will handle interrupted cuts all day with no issues –
which, of course, is the nature of removing additive parts.
In addition to rapidly removing 3D printed parts, these 4-axis Fast Wire EDMs are also great for cutting very
deep workpieces such as keyways up to 40” high, internal splines, gears, and any poor fl ushing EDM applications.
Larry stated that these machine are more than an EDM band saw.
